Online Payment of Property Taxes

Through a partnership with Kansas.gov and the Kansas County Treasurers Association (KCTA), the Wilson County Treasurer's office offers citizens the ability for online payment of property taxes. Citizens can go to www.Kansas.gov/propertytax and select WILSON COUNTY. Simply follow the instructions on the screen. Two payment options, credit card or electronic check, are available. This service allows for 24x7 secure payment access from any Internet connection.

Wilson County Tax Information

PAYMENT DEADLINES

NOV 1 Collection begins, may pay half(if bill over $10.00) or full amount
DEC 20 Deadline to pay without interest and to pay personal property tax in half
DEC 21 Interest collected on full personal property and half real estate
JAN 1 or shortly thereafter, notices mailed for delinquent personal property 14 days later they are turned over to the Wilson County Sheriff
MAY 10 All unpaid taxes draw interest on full amount
JUNE 10 Or shortly thereafter, notices mailed for delinquent personal property 14 days later they are turned over to the County Sheriff
AUG 1 Unpaid real estate taxes are published for three weeks in official newspaper
First Tuesday in September, real estate with unpaid taxes are bid to the County
OCT 1 Unpaid personal property tax warrants returned and become a tax lien in District Court and published for three weeks in official newspaper
